Product Lead Remote Driving (F/H)

Could you be the full-time Remote Driving Product Lead in Villeurbanne we’re looking for? 

 
Your future role 

Take on a new challenge and apply your product management and innovation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, passionate, and visionary team. 

You'll play a key role in transforming rail operations through advanced digital technologies. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, innovation, product development, and internal/external stakeholders), coordinate interactions between disciplines (signalling, rolling stock, ergonomics), and support the Programme Manager in strategic decision-making. 

You’ll specifically take care of shaping the product vision and managing the development of remote driving solutions, but also ensuring the consistency of the product strategy and prioritising high-value-added use cases. 

We’ll look to you for: 

• Planning releases by defining the content and delivery dates of versions. 

• Overseeing the Remote Driving programme and coordinating activities to meet quality, cost, and deadline objectives. 

• Organising and leading the operational management of the development team, including backlog planning and continuous improvement. 

• Defining and maintaining solution architecture, steering technical decisions, and resolving engineering trade-offs. 

• Ensuring technical quality, managing technical debt, and supporting continuous integration. 

• Identifying, assessing, and managing technical risks associated with design, development, and integration. 

• Coordinating technical interactions between Innovation teams and internal stakeholders (Signalling, Rolling Stock, Ergonomics, etc.). 

• Contributing to demonstrators, pilot schemes, and proofs of concept to validate technical solutions. 

• Defining and implementing methods, tools, and processes for delivery capacity improvement and industrialisation preparation. 

• Monitoring innovations in rail, automation, and digitalisation, and representing the solution at events. 

• Providing visibility on progress, risks, and feasibility for decision-making and programme reviews.

• Degree in engineering or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience in product management, systems engineering, project management, or programme management. 

• Experience leading development initiatives, coordinating teams, and managing innovative products or solutions. 

• Strong analytical, organisational, and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment. 

• Leadership skills with the ability to unite technical teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. 

• Understanding of complex systems and industrial digital solutions (e.g., real-time architectures, APIs, cloud computing, cyber security). 

• Knowledge of the rail sector, signalling, automation, or human factors (advantageous but not required). 

• A passion for innovation, new technologies, and multidisciplinary environments. 

• Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus.
