This position is based on our Signalling Villeurbanne site (900 people), center of excellence for on-board and wayside equipments and solution deployed on all Alstom projects (signalling, network & telecom, track products, train control & monitoring system, …), in a dynamic and green railway environment



Within the D&IS Procurement team (Digital & Integrated Systems - 30 people 300M€), you report to Procurement Manager in charge of product portofolio under Alstom design authority.

You are the procurement representative within Product Line team, and vice-versa, ensuring products are properly sourced (contractualization ,securization, competitivity, …)

You are responsible for QCD being said the product could be bought, produced in-house or subcontracted from product introduction up to end-of life.



Your main tasks are to :

• provide/propose guidance to product team according to procurement strategy or business context (serial life, end-of life)

• Contribute/challenge Make Or Buy decision by deploying the different Commodity Sourcing Strategy

• Obtain/provide clear data (expected quantities, product evolution, ...) from Product team to ensure proper procurement activities to formalize RFQ (Request for Quotation) package (commercial/technical)

• Manage supplier selection through the Business Award process

• Ensure sourced parts are developed/delivered on time in respect of quality and cost,

• continuously lead improvement plans: challenge suppliers, support product/program teams and technical sourcing for additional savings, ensures full consideration of Total Cost of ownership

• Ensure sourcing central strategy is applied (panel, LCC objectives, dual sources...), as well as processes.

• Be the owner of the Catalog Material Cost evolution on his product for 3 years perspective

• Coordinate claims to suppliers on his products.




Diploma/Degree level (or similar level of formal qualification) in Engineering and/or Business.

You have at least 5 years of Procurement experience within an industrial organization (electronics) with complex projects.

You are able to interact within a complex environment, and act as a leader to efficiently animate/challenge internal customers and procurement team

Functional management, negotiation, analytics & communication skills

In parallel you have a significant customer and results orientation.

English mandatory – some travel may be required
