POSITION OVERVIEW:

On a new program hosted by France Innovation Center, the purpose of the job is to contribute to the development of a railway signal detection system (EDS) in line with the Mainline platform and guidance, the Program Manager and the Design Authority. You will lead the technical development of the SDS and will integrate innovative technological bricks developed in order to serve on-going projects. PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • Develop and deliver the Signal Detection System Product in line with the Product Roadmap and as agreed with the Program Manager
  • Play the key role between Engineering Design team and Design Authority in the definition of technical answer to the needs expresse

 

ORGANIZATION:

  • Hierarchical: Innovation Center Director in a 1st step. Position to be changed to Program Manager in a 2nd step.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • With the Design Authority and the Product Program Manager, define and agree on the Product development roadmap that he/she commits to deliver
  • With the Product Program Manager, manage the Product Development team for both internal (Products Engineering) and external (buy) developments, ensuring respect of QCD commitments
  • Ensure technical coordination within program engineering team in order to apply design choice defined jointly with Design Authority
  • Specify the Product characteristics and ensure that the Product delivers the performance levels expected as defined in the Product roadmap and meet Systems and Platforms expectations
  • Organize peer-to-peer reviews with Design Authority
  • Organize Product Design Reviews and co-lead them jointly with Design Authority
  • Support Make or Buy analysis and arbitration 
  • Develop design-to-cost approach in developments to decrease unit cost of solutions
  • Manage Product Requirements: ensure the traceability of the product requirements (from product level down to software and hardware level) and ensure that each product requirement has been addressed by V&V through the whole development cycle 
  • Manage Product Configuration, Change Management and deliveries: establish and maintain the configuration baselines, perform configuration reviews, lead the Change Control Board (CCB) with the Product Program Manager and Design Authority
  • With the Product Program Manager, provide QCD estimation on Bids and user projects requests and support Solution Director / Design Authority / System Application Architects in gap analysis/QCD quotation

  • Product targeted key performances achievement (as specified at SGR) 
  • Work Package QCD commitment respect
  • Product development OTD (On Time Delivery) and DFQ Gate Reviews

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduated from Electronic or Computer Engineering school, PhD / BAC+5
  • Education in video analytics, optics or detection systems for autonomous vehicles

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years in electronic development (System, Hw, Sw, V&V, RAM) in similar products environments
  • 2 years in Work Package management, Planning management
  • Safety environment
  • Sub-contractor management
  • Autonomous Mobility (railway or road) project execution or program development
