The Villeurbanne site (800 employees) specializes in the design and manufacture of on-board and off-board electronic systems and contributes to all of Alstom solutions.

 

ROLE :

Part of Services / Digital Solutions / Maintenance Data Solutions (MDS) organization, your role is to contribute to software development of predictive maintenance solutions (HealthHub)

This includes:

  • Data collection on servers
  • Big data processing
  • Data storage in data bases
  • Web site display

The Services MDS organization is in charge of developing the associated service offering and to deliver these services on contract or work packages.

 

Within the Services MDS R&D Engineering team, you are responsible for development activities related to the data collection, data storage, data processing and data display using servers. You shall contribute to specification, development and validation of new software release, and investigate issues proposing whenever feasible a possible bug fix.

You shall listen to customer feedback reporting issues and improvements, in order to propose solutions.

 

You are part of Services MDS Engineering team and may be assigned to one or several R&D project or work packages.

You will investigate new technologies and propose new technological solutions for the development, re-using open source components when necessary

 

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop software solutions for predictive maintenance
    • web site, Java code and HTML code
    • data bases (Elastic, Cassandra, SQL)
    • Linux servers
    • Listen to customer feedback
  • Attend to R&D development coordination meetings.
  • Investigate new open source software technologies and perform technology watch.

 

PROFILE :

The main skills required are:

  • Knowledge and experience of server software development
  • Knowledge and experience of HTML and Java
  • Knowledge and experience of open source components such as data bases (Elastic, Cassandra, SQL), Drools, Docker
  • Understanding of maintenance activities
  • English and French fluent

 

This position is based in on our Signalling Villeurbanne site (800 people), specialized in designing and manufacturing electronics systems on board and on tracks (traction, monitoring, passenger information, network…) to develop future train intelligence.
