Train Control & Information Systems department (TC&IS) contributes to the IT wayside/ground solution development. As this solution is in interaction with several other systems such as the trains, the dedicated customers applications or other Alstom applications, you will have many interactions with different stakeholders located worldwide. The IT wayside/ground solution can be running on customers' premise or in the cloud ensuring the train operation through a communication channel between on-board vehicle and the ground system (Wifi/4G/5G…).

 

Your Mission:

You are in charge of setting, driving and sustaining a R&D development Program and associated Products.

You will report to the Information Systems Director

 

Your Responsibilities:

- Capture and define users’ needs and ensure consistencies in requirements definition

- Support and drive IT wayside/ground solution roadmap thanks to your analysis & reports of project gaps / customers’ needs versus standard architecture

- Develop and Validate Business Case for proposed solutions

- Write/manage specifications and define external interfaces with each systems (modelize the design if needed)

- Contribute to validation plan and quality assessment with the overall roadmap

- Manage periodic review meetings with all stakeholders and key projects users

- Manage Performance Indicators for development and sustaining activities (Customer Satisfaction, Profitability, Plan delivery, gate reviews on time)

- Support deployment and users within Engineering organization

 

You define and consolidate the IT wayside/ground solution, define the interfaces (protocols...) and data modelthat shall be considered. You also define the Integration & Validation (I&V) strategy of the different applications on the wayside. At last, you will assess the performance of the proposed solution.

 

Your Profile:

- Experience on a technical role in IT development and system engineering in railway or comparable industry within international matrix organization (5 to 10 years)

- Strongly commitment to QCD 

- Ability to influence others for successful shared decisions making process.

- Experience in IT Management / Cloud based architecture and/or SaaS (Software as a Service) would be a plus.

- Knowledge of Scrum methodology, CI/CD environment and Kubernetes could be a plus

- Open to travel

- Fluent in English and French.
