Work Environment

You will join the Alstom Digital Foundry in Villeurbanne (France), which is Alstom’s specialized center for developing digital solution to be used in Alstom railway applications: Passenger experience, Railway Operations, Asset management.

Among these solutions is the Driver Advisory System (DAS), a key component in optimizing train operations, improving energy efficiency, and supporting sustainable mobility.

The DAS solution provides real-time guidance to train drivers, leveraging operational data, timetables, and energy optimization algorithms. It is integrated into Alstom’s broader digital ecosystem and interacts with onboard and wayside systems.

 

Your Mission

  • Lead the architecture & design of the system (mainly system made of software services based on frameworks and IT technologies)
  • Define the data model, compliant with data governance constraints
  • Define the services to be developed in compliance with Reference Digital Architecture.
  • Coordinate with Product owners, System Designers, and other architects to manage interfaces and technical risks.
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of system architecture and specifications according to development strategy.
  • Support technical reviews, decision-making, and configuration management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and technological watch to integrate innovative solutions.

 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor/Postgraduate in Engineering, Computer Science, or scientific subjects
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in system architecture or engineering within complex programs with a strong software content
  • Expertise in System Engineering, software with IT technologies including data management, and design for safety and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to work transversally with engineering teams and manage technical decisions.
  • Strong communication skills in English and ability to collaborate in multicultural environments.
  • Leadership, rigor, and customer-oriented mindset.
