Purpose of the job

 

The Project Management Officer (PMO) at Alstom Villeneuve plays a vital role in managing the complexities of project tenders and execution within the railway sector and support Service growth strategy for Service in CH and for the site Villeneuve. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a multilingual environment, engage with diverse topics, and contribute to environmentally sustainable train refurbishments that align with climate goals.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Project Support: Assist project managers in planning, executing, and closing projects in compliance with Alstom’s standards and SBB quality requirements.
  • Tender Management: Support the preparation and submission of tender documents, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and commercial requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, preparing regular status reports for stakeholders, while identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Coordination: Facilitate effective communication among cross-functional teams and stakeholders; organize project meetings, workshops, and reviews.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards, customer expectations, and environmental regulations, supporting the green agenda of train refurbishments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of project management processes, kpi and templates

 

 

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

 

 

Educational Requirements

 

  • Master degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

 

Experience

 

  • First experience in similar position is an advantage

  • Interest in Railway Industry / Railway Transport Segment

 

Competencies & Skills

 

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Multilingual proficiency (e.g., French, German) is highly advantageous in a diverse region like Suisse Romande. German language B2/C1
