About the project
As part of a newly awarded flagship project in Switzerland, Alstom will modernise Lausanne’s fully automated m2 metro line, the backbone of public transport in the region. This major programme (approx. €295 million) combines:
- Deployment of Alstom’s next-generation Urbalis Fluence CBTC system
- A comprehensive mid-life modernisation of the train fleet
