Could you be the full-time Specialist Team Manager

in Västerås we’re looking for?

Your Future Role

In this role, you will lead and develop a team of skilled engineers, creating an environment where new colleagues are integrated smoothly and where continuous learning and growth are part of everyday work. You’ll be responsible for guiding the team through the successful delivery of projects and programmes, ensuring that all commitments around quality, cost, and delivery are consistently met.

A key part of your mission will be to drive process excellence—making sure that established methodologies, tools, and standard ways of working are applied effectively across the team. You will also play a central role in continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating closely with the Metier Manager and central functions to refine practices and raise performance levels.

You will oversee resource planning, ensuring that the right expertise is allocated to the right projects at the right time. Monitoring performance indicators such as on‑time delivery, work package adherence, and the progress of team development plans will also be an important part of your remit.

As someone who values collaboration, you will work across sites to share knowledge, balance workloads, and capture return on experience (REX) that supports collective success. Finally, you will shape the team’s development journey by identifying competency gaps and implementing annual training plans aligned with APSYS roadmaps, ensuring that engineering capabilities evolve in line with business needs.
