Could you be the full-time Rolling Stock and Components Engineering Metier Manager in Västerås, Sweden we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your production expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You will directly report to the Site Engineering Director you will manage the Domain on a Site to meet the QCD objectives of the tenders/projects/programs  and develop the Team on Site. Furthermore, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of their management in collaboration with the Central Engineering team. You will also promote and ensure deployment of AMS and corresponding Management standards, Processes and tools on the Site with an adequate balance between Projects and Metier requirements.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Supporting the team in the resolution of issues in particular those involving other stakeholders (internal or external) and to support them in the definition of priorities.
  • Managing the development of the site the Manager’s team to ensure the adequacy of the capacity vs workload vs skills with the support of the N+1.
  • Ensuring adequate resources are appointed to the projects/programs/tenders allocated to the Site.
  • Ensuring the proper follow-up of the QCD work packages for the Site
  • Managing the forecast of the Site workload, based on hypotheses provided by the workload manager and identifying necessary resources to secure project QCD commitments.
  • Ensuring the Engineering rules & processes are understood and applied.
  • Reporting on the progress of the Site Engineering Director activities and alert the N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting the achievement of the QCD commitment.
  • Implementing an organisation to ensure the proper management of the tenders/projects/programs as per the applicable Management instructions/processes
  • According to the Site team size and workload, taking the Technical role and responsibilities on one project or tender
  • Arbitrating in case of issue in allocation of the resources (staff, tools, …) for executing work-packages
  • Defining the yearly Training objectives and arbitrating between the demands from the Domain Leaders
  • Applying and follow-up the People Management Cycle on time for the Site according to N+1 and HR instructions
  • Having a pro-active challenging view on the overall studies performed by the Site team to enhance their adequacy/consistency and compliance the applicable instructions and guidelines
  • Providing feedback to Central Engineering on the application of the Management processes
  • Collaborating with the Central Engineering team for continuous improvement of the Management

  • Engineering degree or Master of engineering from University or Engineering school
  • Strong experience in Train/Component engineering
  • Strong experience in team management
  • Fluent English and Swedish
