Duration: 20 weeks, on-site

Background

Model-based design is widely utilized in the development of complex software applications, as it can accelerate the development process and facilitate early verification through simulation.

Our current software development process employs MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, code generation, and testing of traction control applications. Recent advancements in MathWorks tools, including the introduction of System Composer, have enabled the specification and analysis of architectures for model-based system engineering and the modeling of software and system architectures.

Problem description and goals

This thesis aims to investigate the application of System Composer in the development of traction control applications. The scope of the thesis is twofold:
1. To examine how architectural models can enhance traction software concerning requirements allocation, modularization, testability, and more.
2. To prototype an architectural model that demonstrates how System Composer can be integrated into our current development process.
