Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Verification&Validation and people manager expertise in a new cutting-edge field.
You will take part in major product development by proving that the design is fit for its intended use, by leading a team (both in Västerås, Stockholm and India) through Verification, Validation and Test activities. Detailing, estimating and planning deliveries within V&V together with the V&V leaders, and interface stakeholders such as Program and Engineering Managers, will be an essential part of your mission. You will also be interfacing with the Hardware and Software design teams to share and detail the plan and the results of all V&V activities.
The role also involves collaboration with Verification & Validation manager, Safety team, Cyber Security team and System Architects on strategy agreement. You will report the progress, results and eventual issues during execution, to the Program Managers.
We will look to you for:
- Define the generic verification and validation strategy for deliverables
- Support test planning and strategy, have a strong focus on know-how increase within the V&V area
- Perform and report allocated verification, validation, and test activities
- Lead the alignment of V&V within several Programs in a multi-site environment
- Work closely with the V&V Team you are responsible for, in order to develop skills, people, tools and ways of working
- Be involved in the Alstom Global V&V community to align processes, tools together with software and hardware disciplines for continuous improvement
- Ensure the highest level of automation of the analysis and test activities, i.e. lead the work of test automation
- Agree on and report KPIs to stakeholders

Master’s degree in engineering or scientific topics
- Strong experience within Verification, Validation, or Testing of embedded systems
- Strong leadership with at least 3 years of experience to manage and lead a team in a complex V&V environment
- Understanding and experience in embedded Software and/or Hardware development
- Engineering and system background
- Experience in Product development
- Understanding of test scripting and test application using Python and C/C++
- Proven documentational skills
- Analytical, team player, structured and organized.
- Experience in a highly complex and normative environment (railway, aerospace, defense, nuclear) would be a major asset.
- English, full proficient use
