Could you be the full-time Brake System Product Manager in Västerås, Sweden, we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in brake systems and product management in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and innovative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Alstom’s brake systems, driving standardisation across rolling stock applications, particularly for metros. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (engineering, quality, industrialization, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, and maintenance), monitor market needs and technology trends, and oversee R&D programs to ensure alignment with our product roadmap.
You’ll specifically take care of defining and implementing the product roadmap for brake systems, but also managing the catalogue of standard brake systems.
We’ll look to you for:
- Monitoring market needs (internally and externally) and technology trends to identify new R&D opportunities
- Defining and implementing the product roadmap for brake systems
- Securing approval for and managing new R&D programs, including planning, monitoring, and controlling deliverables, schedules, resources, costs, and risks
- Optimizing product QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) through year-to-year improvement actions
- Ensuring product strategy alignment during tenders and contract execution
- Leading the Change Control Board and managing product configuration
- Validating business cases for make-or-buy decisions
- Functionally managing a multidisciplinary team
- Coordinating all departments contributing to the product roadmap
- Reporting to management about product QCD
