Could you be the Buyer we’re looking for?
Your future role
We’ll look to you for:
- Setting up and managing the supplier selection process
- Preparing and launching Requests for Quotation with suppliers
- Leading project negotiations and monitoring procurement project QCDT (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Time) and legal evolution
- Ensuring on-time delivery and quality, especially during project ramp-up phases
- Supporting commodity strategies and participating in their development
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships and monitoring their performance
- Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s Code of Ethics and promoting the highest standards of ethical conduct
- Providing inputs for continuous improvement through APSYS, ICQ, and ISO processes
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or Business (a Master’s in Purchasing is a plus)
- 0–5 years of sourcing or procurement experience
- Experience with contract management and legal awareness
- Knowledge of procurement tools such as ARIBA and SAP (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel (Power BI is a plus)
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Results-driven with a rigorous and structured approach
- An international mindset and fluency in English and Spanish
