Transportation Improvement Manager
The position is part of the Global Transportation organization, based in Valenciennes (France)
The Transportation Improvement Manager supports and facilitate the transformation of Alstom transportation organization in line with the Supply Chain strategy.
Drive consistency in process, systems & data across Sites
- Be the global point of contact of sites under your responsibility for Transportation process & strategic questions
- Support deployment of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Transportation Routing guides across Sites.
- Monitor transport plan performance with sites, and drive continuous improvement plan
- Help sites to growth in maturity
Drive continuous improvement and operational performance
- Prepare and run regular Performance reviews at a global level with Transportation providers
- Manage quality and claim management (Root cause analysis and corrective actions)
- Drive continuous improvements initiatives and network studies to optimize shipments and reduce carbon emissions
- Monitor cost performance vs Budget; identify cost drivers, analyze deviations, and propose action plans
- Run root cause analysis and corrective actions for any operational or system issues generating manual interventions in the transportation planning system
- Monitor Transportation providers invoicing process and on-time payment
Backgroung / Experience :
- Minimum 2 years, in similar position
- Validated experiences in logistics, 3PL management, import and export procedure
- Good understanding of customs regulations and procedures
- University degree in international transport or supply chain field
- Fluent in English – B2 level minimum
