As a Project Safety Manager, you will report to the Project Safety Manager and be part of the project team.
In this context:
- You are attached to the Engineering Manager of a project and are part of the Core Team of a Rolling Stock project,
- You will define the overall operational safety approach of the project throughout the development cycle,
- You will manage a team of safety engineers who will assist you in carrying out the studies,
- You are responsible for the QCD commitments of the RAMS business line on your project,
- You define and manage the schedule of activities with your team,
- You accompany and guide the design of the train to verify and validate that the architectures and designs of the systems and products meet the contractual expectations and requirements of safety, reliability, availability and testability,
- You are a driving force in proposing and defending your technical solutions that optimize Reliability and Safety performance to the engineering teams,
- You carry out or have carried out the required Safety and Reliability studies at the train system level and in particular through the analysis and modeling of train failures,
- You manage the relationship with the customer, independent safety assessors and the supervisory authorities: You are in charge of defending the safety file in order to obtain the authorizations to put the train into service,
- You will apply the Alstom Transport safety processes and standards (Cenelec EN 50126, 50128, 50129; IEC 61508, ....) from the tender phase to the warranty phase,
- You will actively participate in the development of the Functional Safety business line on the Valenciennes site and more widely within Alstom.

You are comfortable speaking and know how to present subjects in a clear and synthetic way,

You are autonomous and able to work on different subjects in parallel,
You are fluent in English.
- General engineer or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience in the methods and tools of operational safety
- You have experience in project management
- Knowledge of the railway world and associated technical skills are a plus.
