As a RAMS Engineer:
- You report to a Train RAMS Engineer and are part of the project team,
- You define the Safety and Reliability (or Testability) objectives and requirements for the sub-systems under your responsibility, and ensure that they are correctly applied to all stakeholders and suppliers,

- You support and guide the train design to verify and validate that system and product architectures and designs meet contractual Safety and Reliability (or Testability) expectations and requirements,
- You propose and defend technical solutions optimizing RAMS performance to engineering teams,
- You carry out the Safety, Reliability (or even Testability) studies required for the train system, in particular through the analysis and modeling of train failures (PHA, Fault Tree, FMECA,...).
- You are responsible for monitoring suppliers, validating associated documentation and integrating them into train-level analyses,
- You interface with the customer, independent safety assessors and regulatory authorities: you are responsible for defending the safety analyses for which you are responsible,

- You apply Alstom's RAMS processes and standards (Cenelec EN 50126, 50128, 50129; IEC 61508, etc.) throughout the V cycle (from the tender phase to the warranty phase),
- You will play an active role in the development of the Dependability business at the Valenciennes site and more widely within Alstom.

You have a capacity for technical analysis and synthesis, and you are rigorous,
You like working in a team and being in contact with other stakeholders,
You are fluent in English and can present subjects clearly and concisely,
You are autonomous and able to work on different subjects at the same time,
 
Profile
- General engineer or equivalent with at least 2 year's experience in operational safety methods and tools.
- Knowledge of the railway industry and associated technical skills would be a plus.
- Ability to read electrical and electronic diagrams is desirable. 
- Fluent in written and spoken French and English for internal and external exchanges (with suppliers and customers).
