Perceived Quality Product Engineer (M/F)
Location: Valenciennes, France
You will join our Component Developpement Site, Key actor in the design and development or interior train parts for Rolling Stock , with more than 180 people, & 20 different nationalities , designer, buyer, industrial, quality, Project Managers, & Experts , working both for French & international projects.
What are my responsibilities?
Execute perceived quality methodology and progress following for several projects.
Contribute to perceived quality metier referential
Contribute to Perceived Quality & Comfort CCN
Organisation Reporting
Hierarchical Reporting: Engineering Performance and Continuous Improvement Manager, CDSi
Functional Reporting: PQ Product Engineer Leader ;

Performance Measurement/KPI’s
- Is responsible to follow projects during design phase, update KPI, and do reporting of situation, to give feedback of good practices and critical risk to hierarchy according to DFQ cycle.
Responsibilities
Accountable for:
- Apply Engineering instructions, guidelines and internal processes of the Perceived Quality Metier.
- Ensure action plan management and progress following all along the tender/project cycle
Responsible for:
- Follow the Design Review to track and follow PQ risks up to the final solution
- Make sure that Perceived Junction file and make validation of it according to DFQ cycle
- Make sure that “stand sol” are applied without PQ deviation
- Collect 3D data from different metier (A&CD, Engineering, PDM…) and build his own Perceived Quality Digital Mock-up according to standard rules
- Share KPI of improvements/evolution all along project.
- Share internal customers’ feedback on methodology with PQ PE Leader
Contributor for:
- Gather relevant return of experience with PQ&C Network
- Contribute to the Perceived Quality & Comfort solutions benchmark (internal and external references)
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Minimum qualifications
- Education
- Mechanical Engineering degree, or equivalent
- Industrial Design degree, or sensitive to Industrial Design through background or personal interest
- Technical
- Experience of product development
- Knowledge of industrial processes (extrusion, sheet metal work, moulding, welding, 3D printing, FRP…)
- Knowledge of CAD software (CATIA or equivalent), solid and generative shape design
- Advanced knowledge in visualization software (VRED, DELTAGEN, Keyshot…)
- General knowledge on different engineering field will be welcome (lighting, acoustic…)
- Knowledge of Excel advanced features, or basics with a will to learn
- English advanced level / French
- Behavior
- Good communication skills to interact with internal customers, and different métier
