Leader Project Quality Safety Manager (M/F) –
Location: Valenciennes, France
Driving the Project quality & safety activities for the 13 Metro & double deck train projects for Valenciennes’s site, through managing a PRQSM ( Project Quality Safety Manager) Team.
What are my responsibilities?
Purpose of the Job/Objective
- Ensure, at site level, the management of Project Quality and Safety manager (PrQSM) teams.
- Anticipate resource needs and ensure consolidation of the PrQSM workload for the site on a quarterly basis.
- Elaborate the yearly training plan for its teams and proposes the qualifications
- Control the application of the Development for Quality (DFQ) process and validate each milestone by his team.
- Support the Project Team, to ensure the project Safety, Quality assurance by coordinating all quality and safety activities throughout the project (Safety Quality Cost Delay) and be the preferable interface in the Project Team for all the metiers Quality needed for the Project (Engineering Quality EQ, Industrial Quality IQ, Sourcing Quality SQ).
- Monitors the Alstom Participating Units at DFQ( Design for quality) level and measures their performance with the Project Management process correspondent
- Ensure, with engineering quality team that all the REX of all the metiers have been considered in the Risks & Opportunities and closely monitor to prevent occurrence.
- Ensure and improve the tender quality during tender phase upon request (deliverables, resources anticipation for quality and quality tender management plan)

- Team size : 18 : direct & indirect reports : 11 direct reports : Project Quality Managers – 01 Leader of Project Quality Safety Managers who manages 07 Project Quality Safety Managers

What do I need to qualify for this job?
Qualifications:
Educational
Mandatory:
- Graduate or post-Graduate degree in engineering with management background depending on the size of the project.
- Fluent in English & French
Desirable:
- Qualification in Six Sigma valued.
Experience
Mandatory :
- Awareness of Processes and Products delivered in the project.
- Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools.
- Experience in operational activities and in documentation management
- Experience in teams/people management & ability to positively influence in cross-functional/ geographically distributed teams
Desirable
- Knowledge of railway industry (norms, certifications…) would be an asset.
- Experience in Quality / audit are appreciated
