This job is part of the Alstom Global Transportation organization, within the Overseas Transport Control Tower Europe team located in Valenciennes – France.

As part of the Overseas Transport Control Tower Europe, you contribute to drive costs reduction, efficiency and sustainability in transportation management from Europe to all over the world via value-added tools, processes.

You support Alstom Sites in getting their parts at the right QDC expectation, looking for inventories/cost optimization.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
    • Performance management
      • Monitor delivery and operational performance
      • Monitor cost performance and achievement of reduction targets
      • Be second escalation point for operational issues raised by Alstom Sites
      • Propose evolutions of KPIs as relevant
    • Drive continuous improvement
      • Analyse delivery performance and identify cost drivers
      • Run root cause analysis for deviations, propose corrective actions or improvement plans
      • Identify best practices with regards to performance and process efficiency
      • Support deployment of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) across sites and monitor the compliance
  • Leads the governance established between Alstom and transportation service providers (performance and business reviews)
  • Supports strategic programs and transformation projects
    • Be the local relay for transformation projects implementation (process, digitalization, sourcing)
    • Run network studies aimed at improving Alstom transportation performance, decreasing total cost and delivery lead times.
    • Identify opportunities for transportation consolidation, size associated savings

 

Mandatory

  • Engineering degree / Business degree / University degree or similar in international transport or supply chain field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in international environment
  • Validated experiences in logistics, 3PL management, import and export procedures
  • Good knowledge of customs regulations and procedures

Desirable

  • Knowledge of modern principles for efficient transportation management and distribution control
  • SAP knowledge
