What are my responsibilities?

Ensure the Quality of the design and the Quality of the parts delivered by the suppliers to the Alstom Manufacturing sites.

Ensure that the suppliers’ industrial constraints and return of experience are taken into consideration in the interiors development parts design

Is in charge of the validation of the CDS I suppliers’ processes and products and ensure that parts delivered on site are compliant to dimensional and functional requirements.

Manage the competency / expertise growth of the SPQD Engineers

Ensure full application of Alstom SPQD Ways of working

Ensure management of QMS

Being part of the Management Committee of CDS-i

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the SPQD Group Leaders
    • Ensure the expertise / competency growth of his/her team
    • Manage SPQD Team workload
    • Ensure SPQD referential application within all SPQD the teams (Alstom SQ rules, ways of working,…)
    • Animate return of experience with the SPQD team
       
  • Ensure the Quality of the work of SPQD team
    • Engineering Quality : Challenge the design on the manufacturing feasibility from the concept phase up to 2D drawings validation. Approve Design Reviews, Validate the Technical Specification and its "clause by clause"
    • Documentation : Prepare the quality documentation for the development milestones (Quality specifications for RFQ Package, Quality specifications clause by clause, SQS for Business Award)
    • Suppliers’ processes development : Ensure that the products key characteristics are considered in the suppliers’ processes, supervise the Process FMEA , ensure that the necessary series tests are in place in supplier premises, perform the processes audits to qualify supplier process consistency,…
    • Quality of the 1st deliveries : Manage the first batches release: go in supplier premises and control all the first parts to be delivered on projects before shipping, get the waiver approved from customers in case of deviation or derogation prior to deliver
    • Manage suppliers problem solving : Analyse the potential issues during the supplier production preparation phase thanks to problem solving methods, analyse the 8D of suppliers during serial production phase and ensure quick response from suppliers

 

  • Promote Continuous Improvement
    • Formalize the return of experience within the CDS-i and share it with Engineering team
    • Share the best practices 
    • Train the team to Quality tools

 

  • QMS Role
    • Maintain the ISO 9001 certification
    • Apply the Alstom Quality Management System

 
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Knowledge & experience:

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in Supplier Quality Assurance , Production management, engineering  or industrial Engineering
  • 03-05 years experience in team management
  • Strong knowledge of Problem solving methods (8D, QRQC, …) and Risk Analysis Method (FMEA,…)
  • Good technical knowledge in either composite parts and processes or in metallic parts and processes
  • Mechanical engineering background
  • Able to work in an international, multi-sites and matrix organization
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills
  • English written and spoken mandatory

    • Travel; 15% of the time, in France and abroad.
