Project Managers Leader Interiors (M/F)

Location: Valenciennes, France

 

You will join our Interiors Component Development Site and Product Family of Valenciennes Petite Forêt, a key actor in the design and development or interior train parts as well as front ends, with more than 180 people & 22 different nationalities, designer, buyer, industrial, quality, Project Managers & Product Experts , working both for French & International projects.

 

What are my responsibilities?

Purpose of the Job/Objective

Is accountable for the QCDT achievement of Interiors parts in compliance with the CDS Interiors commitments

Is managing a team of Project Managers

 

Organisation Reporting

  • Reports to: CDS-Interiors Site Project Director

 

Network & Links

Internal Interfaces: Site Projects, CDS Interiors Engineering, Costing, Sourcing, Quality, Industrial, Sub-contracting Manager, Project Managers.

 

External Interfaces: Suppliers.

 

Performance Measurement

  • 100% FAI (First Article Inspection) GO on time
  • 100% FEI (First Equipment Installation) GO first time
  • Respect of CDS planning milestones (projects)
  • Respect of targeted recurring / non-recurring costs (projects)
  • Respect of Design for Quality and Design Reviews milestones
  • Implementation of Project Management methods & tools

 

Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Project managers’ team management

 

  • Ensure Project Managers performance by developing their competencies
  • Arbitrate resources allocation between projects
  • Release monthly performance KPIs for Project activities
  • Ensure and challenge project managers’ workload estimation
  • Ensure proper leadership of Project Managers’ teams
  • Animate continuous improvement on project management and change & configuration activities

 

  • Is the referential for Interiors project activities:
  • Ensures that Alstom standards, CDS Interiors standards, and Project Management methods & tools are applied.
  • Define and update the Project Management Plan according Alstom standards.
  • Participate to the continuous improvement of standards processes, methods and tools (planning, budget, deliverables, change management, …)
  • Ensure project catalogues database updates

 

  • At tender phase

Upon request, supports the preparation of tenders as a relay of the CDS bid or engineering teams.

 

  • At project phase
  • Provide support to procurement to define strategic plan.
  • Participation to Project Launch Meetings
  • Validation of CDS Interiors QCDT commitment
  • Identify and mitigate main project risks
  • Support Project Managers in their relationships with CDS customers
  • Ensure action plan deployment for major QCDT deviations
  • Anticipate and mitigate blocking points for key planning milestones
  • Identify CDS non conformities and ensure proper deployment of QRQC process
  • Manage crisis with customers and suppliers.
  • Manage his own projects

 

  • At serial phase
  • Participate to Handover meetings
  • Ensure the Return of Experience collection from Project phase and share with CDS Interiors relevant best practices and catalogues

 

 

 

 

 

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Minimum qualifications & skills

  • 5-7 years’ experience in project management in high mix / low volumes industries
  • Able to demonstrate animation skills of cross-functional skills
  • Able to demonstrate management of cross-functional teams and hierarchical teams
  • Ability to prioritize and to work effectively under pressure to meet the deadline.
  • Able to work in an international, multi-site and matrix organization structure.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Problem solving and continuous improvement mindset

Travels :

  • Travels: national & international : < 15% of the time, mainly on Alstom integration sites and suppliers’ facilities
