What are my responsibilities?

During your first assignment, you will discover Site Operations Controlling in the Mobility Industry and have the opportunity to develop your understanding of an industrial site environment, demonstrate leadership, perform strong data analysis to facilitate decisions and develop a global vision to improve overall Operations performance. 

As an Operations Controller and reporting to the Site or Unit Controller you participate in overall Site Controlling activities. As a key member of the Finance Team, you provide financial analyses, data-driven advice and guidance to support the team in making the best business decisions for the Operations.

  • You provide a regular, true & fair view of the Operations activities across Projects & Métiers
  • You assist and advise the Site/Unit Controlling Department for all financial matters relative to the Operations financial activities
  • You support, challenge and help to monitor Operations objectives through business performance measurement, including appropriate KPIs


Your responsibilities include:


  • Monitoring of site Operations Finance balanced scorecard (covering key stakes faced by Site/Unit, esp. from a backlog execution standpoint), savings recognition of Alstom in Motion Delivery pillar as well as other transverse/efficiency-productivity initiatives (principles: trueness of benefits; holistic view) and manufacturing performance & Hard inventory levels
  • Contributing to tenders’ commitments & ambitions’ definitions and reinforce interface between Site & Region controlling
  • To streamline continuous improvement mindset (translated into OWC optimization actions & post-closing analysis of variance and identification of improving actions)
  • Providing forward-looking inputs to restate financials (esp. Gross Margin %, Hard Inventories, Under/Over absorption), perspectives & target references through which business performance is to be further assessed
  • Building following files on Capex, Make or Buy and project organization to support decision-making
  • Implementing HQ/Regions-led instructions/tools/cost management principles (confer costing instructions, new project management PM2020, Cost per Unit, Normative Site Structure)



What do I need to qualify for this job?

Minimum qualifications

  • Graduated with a Master’s in Finance or equivalent
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Maximum 2 years of experience in Finance, an auditing and/or project operational background in international environment would be an advantage
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Rigorous, data driven and quick learner, you are eager to discover new environment & demonstrate resilience in challenging situations
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Your ability to work in close collaboration & your good communication are your main assets as a team member
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Your solid analytical and synthetic mind combined with your global vision are key to provide relevant business analysis to support effective decision making
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">You are geographically mobile for the next 2 years
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Fluent in English - other languages is a plus
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Excellent knowledge in MS Excel, Powerpoint and knowledge of SAP
