Commodity perimeter

Interior archtectures & fittings, Side wall/Partition/Handrails/Tables/Sunblind/Luggage racks ect


Purpose of the job :

  • Define commodity strategy
  • Build differentiation (Innovation)
  • Manage global supplier relationships and supplier risk.
  • Global coordinated Commodity :  Tender Commitment, big supplier negotiation, saving target, value capture


Report directly to : Domain Director

Key accountabilities of the Commodity Management : Support actively project and tender execution


Drive Commodity management

  • Acquire knowledge of global markeet, organize benchmarks, apply cost models
  • Act as an expert with optimization of product total cost of Ownership
  • Support actively project and tender execution
  • Apply Alstom Procurement process
  • Manage supplier risks and sets appropriate mitigation plan
  • Animate commodity maturité improvement plan
  • Lead saving plan by leveraging design to cost, BCC, Volumes... (all ASIP levers)


Team management

  • Ensure Commodity team animation in close link with Regions
  • Manage commodity leaders


Define Procurement strategy

  • Define & develops commodities strategy with all stakeholders and drives its implementation
  • Define supplier target panel in-line with Procurement strategy and makes sure it is implemented
  • Support Tender and Project phases
  • Lead the selection of suppliers for projects and successfully onboard the supplier selected
  • Ensure early involvement of suppliers at Tender stage and in the project



Educational Requirements 


Business School or Engineering school and MASTER in Purchasing




  • Sourcing professional background,
  • Strong Technical appetite and supplier market expert in the commodity,
  • Ability to deal with complex negotiation and political situation
