Chief of Development Manager, Regional & Commuter

You'll play a pivotal role in driving the end-to-end product development process, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and meeting quality and performance standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., Engineering, Procurement, Industrialization, Services), lead cross-functional train development activities, coordinate sub-system managers, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of representing the technical authority in customer-facing discussions and managing technical risks, but also ensuring compliance with contract technical requirements and Alstom standards.

We’ll look to you for:

• Leading the end-to-end product development process, including validation and certification

• Coordinating cross-functional train development activities across all project stakeholders

• Endorsing design authority and making related decisions or trade-offs

• Representing the technical authority in front of customers for key topics

• Ensuring compliance with contract technical requirements and Alstom standards

• Managing technical risks and defining mitigation plans

• Setting and allocating technical and QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) objectives

• Monitoring development progress and reporting on key milestones

• Collaborating with sites and métiers to secure deliverables at the train level

• Liaising with the Product Platform to address technical gaps and contribute to product evolution

• Degree in Engineering or a related field

• Experience or understanding of cross-functional project management in a technical environment

• Knowledge of product development processes, quality standards, and risk management

• Familiarity with configuration and change management practices

• A certification in project management or systems engineering is a plus

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
