You will join the Center of Excellence Interiors, key player in the design and development of the train interiors parts.: plus de With more than 150 People, de 22 different nationalities, designers ,Buyer, Industrial, Projects Managers & experts, working on national and international projects.

Is responsible of managing a team of project buyers

  • CoE Team : Project Managers, Costing Manager , Buyers, Commodity Managers, SPQD Group Leader / Manager, Bid Manager, Engineering Group Leaders
  • Internal Customers : Project Procurement Manager, Site Procurement Manager, Project Operation Manager
  • External Interfaces: Suppliers
     

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Management
    - Manage project buyer’s team (competencies, workload, development plan)
    - Contribute to recruitment of project buyers
  • Procurement performance:
    - Apply Alstom procurement rules, process and tools
    - Bring Procurement expertise to project buyers
    - Challenge central procurement teams to secure project execution and profitability in critical phase
    - Contribute to the Tactical plan review and supplier selection process.
    - Animate supplier performance reviews
    - Manage Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan
  • Support Bids :
    - Secure cost commitment by working closely with Bids team & costing manager
     
  • Projects execution
     
  • Ensure in his/her team the Supplier offers robustness (RFQ package, negotiation, Business Award preparation)
  • Analyze cost and negotiate prices with suppliers before Business Award milestone
  • Validate the supplier choice for Pre-Business award according the Tactical plan
  • Collect all necessary information for Business Award preparation
  • Manage cost modifications – Negotiate it when necessary
  • Track the cost evolution from Business Award until Serial phase for his/her Projects
  • Apply procurement process for modifications during serial phase (Quotation/Negotiation/Purchasing orders)
  • Make sure that procurement cost reviews are regularly updated by her/his team through Alstom tools
  • Secure Purchasing orders placement and signed contracts on time

 

  • Supplier performance :
    -   Generate cost reduction ideas and consolidate it into internal procurement saving tool (ASIP)
    -   Drive supplier’s management on projects in charge.
    -   Coordinate supplier’s business reviews
    -   Support Project Buyers on Claims and Complex situations / crisis with Supplier according escalation process (Supply Chain OTIF, NCR or supplier quality issues, planning)
    -   Support Project Buyers on Complex negotiation and Contractualizations.
     
    Minimum qualifications
    Knowledge & Experience :
  • Engineering school with Sourcing master degree or Business School
  • Minimum 5-7 years in Industry, ideally in Railway
  • Solid experience in Procurement
  • Is able to demonstrate management of people
  • Is able to work in an international environment and matrix organization structure.
  • Leadership, team management, strategic vision, internal and external influencing skills
  • Able to work in an international, multi-sites and matrix organization
  • Fluent in English and multicultural mindset

 

Team size :

  •    From 6 to 10 project buyers
