Continuous Improvement Leader (M/F)

Location: Valenciennes, France

 

You will join our Interiors Component Development Site and Product Family of Valenciennes Petite Forêt, a key actor in the design and development or interior train parts as well as front ends, with more than 180 people & 22 different nationalities, designer, buyer, industrial, quality, Project Managers & Product Experts , working both for French & International projects.

 

What are my responsibilities?

Purpose of the Job/Objective

  • The Site APSYS Leader will drive and coordinate locally (within a site/ cluster/ project) with all métier the APSYS (Alstom Performance System) roadmap.
  • APSYS Deployment - Animate, coordinate and challenge improvement actions to reach APSYS targets defined with each métier based on APSYS roadmaps using APSYS toolbox to deliver operational performance & develop local best practices that will be share with the steering committee..

Organisation Reporting

  • Reports hierarchically to: Site MD / Component Development Site Interiors Director
  • Other reporting to: Dotting to APSYS Director

 

 

 

Network & Links

  • Internal Interfaces: All Quality & CI members in the organization (APSYS Deployment Director), steering committee, site management teams
  • External Interfaces: Customers , subcontractor/ Supplier

 

Your responsibilities include:

 

APSYS Deployment:

  • Work with Site MD on strategic transformation using site SQCD objectives and APSYS roadmap.
  • Train people on APSYS program, methodologies and tools in his site / project.
  • Support each department in APSYS deployment by providing on field expertise on lean & continuous improvement tools
  • Facilitate and coordinate all improvement actions to reach APSYS targets defined with each métier based on APSYS roadmaps
  • Consolidate and report deployment status to Managing Director and APSYS Central team

APSYS assessment: 

  • Is responsible of self-assessment consolidation and APSYS assessment week / support mission’s preparation (logistics / accommodation, agenda, people availability …)
  • Perform APSYS assessments in other sites / projects

APSYS Network

  • Participate to APSYS events (webinars, APSYS award...)
  • Contribute as trainer to global training program deployment (eg: TrAMway, AQP/AQL, etc) in other sites / projects
  • Share good practices & benchmarks (internal / external) within APSYS network) 

 Performance measurements:

  • Successful Lean impact on the métier
  • Progress from Y-1 to Y on APSYS maturity
  • Site KPI improvement

 

 

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Minimum qualifications

Educational Requirements  

Mandatory :

Master degree (technical/engineering)

Expert in his métier (management committee members, senior manager, Senior Project manager…)

Desirable

High energy, high exposure, international travel

Master lean principles (5S, Standard, Gemba, VSM, problem solving, performance and kaizen mindset)

 

Experience

Mandatory:

Capacity to coach top management of site and project team

Desirable:

  • Lean DNA would be appreciated
  • Ability to develop a network across all sites

 

Competencies & Skills - (Technical & Behavioral)

  • Rigor, Communication, experience in operational activities and results driven.
  • Data driven and courageous - Ability to manage teams in cross and multicultural relationships,
  • Collaboration and team working, critical thinking and problem solving

Travels:

National mainely o other component development sites
