This job is part of the Alstom Global Supply Chain organization, within the Global Transportation team located in Valenciennes – France.

As part of the Global Transportation, you contribute to drive cost reduction, efficiency and sustainability in transportation management via value-added tools, processes.

You support Alstom Sites in getting their parts at the right QDC expectation, looking for inventories/cost optimization.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Transformation projects
    • Global Transportation Digital Project  - Business requirement specification, participate to solution selection / design, prepare & run deployment worldwide through an efficient change management approach
    • Light Transportation Management System - Market search, Business requirement specification, participate to solution selection / design, prepare & run deployment worldwide through an efficient change management approach
    • Participate to Transportation Core Model Deployment

 

  • Continuous improvement
    • Monitor tools efficiency & improvements needed, identify deviations and propose/implement action plan.
    • Keep the process & tools up to date in line with the evolution of the department
    • Participate to Technological & Regulatory Watch

 

QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES - Expected Level

  • Cooperative Education Student in master’s degree related to supply chain, logistics, international transportation, business management, or associated discipline
  • Languages: English fluent, French appreciated
  • Availability to support sites outside France and travel outside Europe.
  • Knowledge of SAP, and Office 365 Application is a +( Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) 
  • Experiences:
    • Goods transportation
    • Import and export procedures and requirements
  • Knowledge of modern principles for efficient transportation management and distribution control
  • Skills: Diplomacy, Pedagogy, Rigour, Agility, ability to push the limits while keeping in mind the Global picture
