Job Title

3D Printing Engineer’s Trainee

Purpose of the Job

To manage manufacturing part by 3D Printing (FDM, SLA…)

To support teams (Engineering, Industrialization, Services) in the Design and the Printability of part (jigs, tooling, prototype, serial part)

To create a test method and following it to characterize material, 3D Printer parameters, design

To manage maintenance of the 3D Printers

To design part to support team (Engineering, Industrialization, Services)

Performance Measurement, you will be in charge to

Determine the best parameters to print part according to request

Provide a quotation for each part

Propose improvements of the design to decrease 3D Printing time and cost

Promote 3D Printing on the site

Responsibilities by referring to his tutor: 

Based on the design propose by the Project and the technical constraint:

• Calculate the cost of the 3D Printed part according to the technology, material, delay

• Ensure that the 3D Printing is fully feasible and the best technology for the kind of part

• If possible, 3D Printing the part on internal printers

Contribute to the improvement of the 3D Printing métier

• Develop 3D Printing tool (maintenance, quotation)

• Formalize in a presentation 3D Printed part and context

• Way of working

• Involvement in network (VPF and General)

Design Knowledge (CATIA)
Knowledge of quality gates (V-Cycle)

3D Printer (Ultimaker, Formlab, Markforged) & software knowledge (Cura)
