Could you be the full-time Material Planner in India we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your supply chain expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in establishing a robust and agile supply chain by driving process adherence, fostering team competency, and implementing innovative strategies. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with internal teams like the SDPM team, Project Supply Chain Team, and Site Supply Chain functions (Procurement, Warehouse, Serial Production Coordination, Method Logistics, etc.), as well as external stakeholders such as material suppliers and logistics providers.
You’ll specifically take care of expressing delivery needs to suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring the availability of goods for Alstom projects, but also contribute to supplier selection processes and drive performance improvement initiatives.
We’ll look to you for:

Establishing short-term and mid-term action plans in alignment with the India Supply Chain strategy

Identifying and addressing gaps in existing supply chain processes

Consolidating metrics and animating MIS periodically for management decision-making

Ensuring accurate material planning master data and creating Material Planning documents

Analyzing supplier confirmations and mitigating risks to production and projects

Driving supplier capacity assessments and capability improvements

Engineering Degree (BE in ECE, EEE, or Mechanical) with experience in supply chain, logistics, or business management

Experience or understanding of production planning, procurement planning, and warehouse management processes

Knowledge of tools like SAP GSI, Kinaxis, ASCOT, Qlik Sense, and GSI BI
-
Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office tools (Word, Excel Macro, PowerPoint, Access)
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
-
Proficiency in English (Tamil appreciated)
