Job Title: Software Development Leader

  • He/she is responsible of the software design, development and test of applications for railway diagnostics data management systems, in the field of train communication and diagnostics systems.
  • He/she manages foftware development resources and activities on the project assigned.
  • He/she is responsible to ensure QCD management of software development activities.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Organize and lead software development activities ensuring QCD commitment, till the end of software development
  • Define the software functional requirements specifications and ensure that all the requirements can be verified
  • Ensure the traceability of the software requirements through the development cycle
  • Define the software architecture and define the software development concept (development tools, methodology, coding strategy , …)
  • Contribute to software integration, together with the software designers
  • Contribute to hardware/software integration, together with the hardware architect
  • Contribute to specify, design, prepare and perform tests and verifications of the software
  • Contribute to standardization by reusing existing solutions or by defining reusable solutions, including COTS*
  • Apply and ensure application of processes and standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (RoE: Return of Experience, process…)
  • Contribute to the definition of the software configuration management plan together with the configuration manager.
  • Contribute to the definition of the software quality plan together with the quality manager.
  • Contribute to the definition of the software verification and validation plans together with other software architects and the V&V architects.
  • Maintain and Control KPIs for the project and report to S/W Domain Leader.

 

Educational Requirements

  • Master's degree or bachelor degree in the field of electronic or software engineering required.

 

Experience

  • Hands-on development experience of software phases like requirement gathering, software development, hardware-software integration etc (minimum of 2 years’ experience in Railway or Automotive domain).
  • High experience in software design and implementation for complex diagnostics data management systems.  
  • Managing work packages for sub-contractors.
  • English: highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
