Purpose of the job 

Inspection of part / product / train / installation and reporting of defects & ensure product compliance (check after rework).

 

RESPONSIBILITES
The Quality inspector ensures the compliance of products and parts delivered by the ALSTOM facilities. He / She performs inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products ready for delivery and on products during their manufacturing process.  He / She validates manufacturing control plans. These control plans are written in close relationship with PME teams.
Accountabilities & Authorities: 
•    Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework).
•    Records inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required.
•    Perform destructive & non-destructive examination when required and qualified.
•    Maintain inspection records per component, assembly and vehicle.
•    Maintain Quality documentation for components, assemblies and vehicles.
•    Participate in customer joint inspections.
•    Preparation of approval and shipping documents.
•    Control the correct calibration of critical equipment's and instrumentations used in the inspections.
•    Participation to the Problem solving process related to issues found during manufacturing activities
•    Perform/participate to product/process audit 
•    Perform handover inspection to evaluate product quality at each stage prior to transfer the products to the next one

Performance measurements:
•    Inspection method time adherence.
•    Defect characterization.
•    Management of rework

 

REQUIREMENTS 


•    Associates degree, technical major preferred.
•    Previous similar quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry.
•    Awareness on processes and products delivered in the project.
•    Experience in Quality / audit are appreciated.
•    Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment.
•    Qualified on special process of his/her scope of work
•    Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, …) and quality tools, experience in Non Destructive Testing - is a plus
•    Knowledge on Problem solving process (8D, 5W…..), green belt qualification would be a plus
•    Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working.
•    Italian - fluent, English- is highly appreciated.
