Location: Vado Ligure / Italy

 

Purpose of the job: to establish, manage and control the Production activities in the Unit, in order to obtain the best results in Quality, Lead-Time, Cost and Delivery of products required by the Projects and fulfil the client’s satisfaction in-line corporate guidelines and site priorities, to lead continuous improvement in Department and to lead WPOs in beating their QCD commitments.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • to successfully deploy best-practices to reach world-class excellence in Production; implementation of ALSTOM Transport Production Systems (APSYS)
  • to fulfil Production objectives
  • to define management of Production organization (planning, manufacturing, testing, logistics, quality inspection, industrialization, etc.)
  • to deploy industrial strategies in-line with Product Line Management Committee decisions
  • to participate in the investment/budget planning
  • to promote the correct environmental management, in order to assure the treatment of wastes, atmospheric emissions within instructions of Environmental Department
  • to maintain a safe working environment for employees and sub-contractors in-line with Sector EHS policy
  • to execute make versus buy management in-line with Product Line Management Committee decisions
  • to manage Manufacturing subcontractors
  • to lay out in close relationship with Industrialization
  • to ensure that the function is resourced adequately, in terms of number of people and skills
  • to manage performance and development of direct reports

 

Qualifications:  technical degree, prefarable Engineering and 8-10 years of experience
