The LSA engineer is the main interlocutor with other Engineering and ILS Integrated Logistic Support function (Design Engineering, System Architect, Technical Documentation, RAMS, Training, etc.) with the purpose to capture all information that can influence the maintenance strategy and to support all the actions to improve maintainability and reduce maintenance costs.

Typical LSA/ILS elements and deliverables are Maintenance Plans, Life Cycle Cost calculations, Spare Parts Lists, Special Tools lists, Manuals and Spare Parts Catalogues.

The LSA engineer defines, characterizes, delivers and monitors the ILS elements for which he/she is responsible during the execution of a rolling stock project.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Creation, management, and optimization of Maintenance Plan and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) of the vehicle.
  • Guidance and validation of vehicle’s design to guarantee the contractual LCC and maintainability targets are achieved.
  • Detection, definition and implementation of modifications of the systems of the vehicle to improve its reliability, availability and serviceability .
  • Creation, management and update of spare parts lists and special tools lists.
  • Use and support to development of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Support to preparation of operation/maintenance manuals, instructions and training courses to maintenance personnel.
  • Participation to technical meetings with Suppliers and Customers to provide expert support.
  • Set-up and follow-up of continuous fleet reliability and availability improvement plans, proactively surveying fleet KPI and promoting improving actions.
  • Preparation of technical requirements specifications on LSA/ILS deliverables.
  • Contribution to preparation of technical proposals and quotations for tenders.

 

Main requirements:

  • Engineering University Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance engineering or equivalent experience.
  • General technical competencies.
  • Expert in maintainability studies and LCC would be a plus.
  • More than 2 years of experience in railways engineering would be a plus.
  • Railway RAMS knowledge would be a plus.
  • MS Office expert.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
