Purpose of the Job

As an Industrial Controller you will ensure accuracy of actual costs recorded and guarantee the analysis of the ETC of a given activity or subsystem scope. You will also ensure that the corresponding QCD commitment is properly backed-up/documented and monitored on a monthly basis. An Industrial Controller supports the Activity Owners in the financial management and help in identifying risks in advance. The Project Manager and the Project Team will also need your support in the financial management of the projects assigned.


Main Responsibilities

  • Support the Activity Owners in the financial management of their scope and help in the Reviews with the Project/Platform
  • Calculate the costs since Situation 0.
  • Prepare and review all Finance reporting under his scope: actuals & cost at completion
  • Ensure risks are properly assessed and mitigation plans in place
  • Handle claims administration (documentation, reports, …)
  • Provide a regular, true & fair view of the Operations activities across Projects & Métiers
  • Support, challenge and help to monitor Operations objectives through business performance measurement, including appropriate KPIs
  • Validate make or buy assessments and support decision-making
  • Implement HQ and Region instructions/tools/cost management principles (confer costing instructions, new project management PM2020, Cost per Unit, Normative Site Structure)


Qualifications & Functional Knowledge

  • Master’s degree in Economic
  • Experience in financial / project controlling in structured multinational companies with long term contracts
  • Logics and Principles of Controlling (especially on long term contracts)
  • Access or Visual Basic knowledge will be a plus

  • MS Office (Microsoft Excel very good knowledge is required)
  • Communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial attitude
  • SAP knowledge would be a plus
