You will be joining Alstom’s Technology Center in Villeurbanne (France) which is Alstom specialized center for the development of generic electronic or software products that will be used for all Alstom railway applications: onboard electronic products, telecom solutions, trackside products, and centralized server solution. In Villeurbanne you will join the team in charge of developing a brand-new platform hosting and executing railway supervision services used in control centers (train tracking, regulation, traffic management etc.). This new platform under development will be built around microservices architecture and publish & subscribe data exchange, using latest software technologies.

 

Your mission:
As Verification and Validation Manager you will:

  • Manage the overall verification and validation activity to be described in the validation and verification management plan
  • Define the overall system validation strategy: test plan and objectives and test means,
  • Generate system validation reports and documentation
  • Review and approve the software validation strategy, plan, reports, and documentation
  • Ensure correct application of Alstom validation process, and perform necessary quality activities and reviews
  • Coordinate the overall system validation activities:
    • Plan validation activities and workload
    • Allocate work and test to testers
    • Track and report overall activity progress & status
  • Lead investigation activities to identify & precise issues found internally and externally
  • Lead the set-up and the sustaining of a sandbox environment for designer test (internal designer or application designers) 
  • Lead support activity to users

You will work under the responsibility of a program manager and be part of the program Core Teams and will work closely with other engineering teams.

 

Your profile: 

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Good knowledge of validation process and standards
  • Basic knowledge of following technologies/domains:
    • Software knowledge in cloud based / Virtualized solutions
    • Supervision system / SCADA
  • Good knowledge in following domains:
    • development and validation process
    • validation strategy and test specification
    • test environment, test bench, simulators, etc.
    • network and virtual machine management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in system validation.
  • Already one experience in managing validation activity
  • Capacity to work in English: technical reading, technical meetings, design reviews, email, and specification writing.
  • Good communication skills and capacity to work with remote teams
