Your future role 

As Quality Director at Alstom you will be anticipating potential risks in our services and production. A big part of your job is implementing measures to prevent those risks from happening. On the one hand this process involves educating individuals and teams and on the other hand involves creating process maps to highlight areas of ambiguity and the understanding who is responsible for what. By better managing risks the Quality Director enables people across the organisation to more easily understand processes and the access to relevant information. 

You will greatly contribute to our service because you have the ability to put everyone around the table and make sure people take ownership and responsibility for their part. You therefore play a very important role within our organisation. You work together with all different functions, stakeholders and customers. Our goal is to do it right the first time for our customers!

As Quality Director NL you will work closely together with the business (the operation / work floor). We are expecting a huge growth and we are looking for you to help us shape this growth. You will be an important partner for our Services Director who is a visionary! In your role you can secure the growth and our future goals by implementing structure. 

It goes without saying that you can't do this alone and you will be a part of a bigger team. You will report directly to our Quality Director Benelux and of course to the Services Director who is your most important stakeholder. As Quality Director NL you will lead a team of 12 people. Expect to be on the road a lot because we are looking for someone that can be highly visible in the organisation and on the different sites in Ridderkerk, Rotterdam and Utrecht among others. 

You will have regular meetings with site Managing Directors, weekly meetings with your team, weekly meetings with the Quality Director Benelux, quarterly reviews with our customers, reviews on a monthly basis when it comes to the business and safety. 

 

Everything about you 

Are you our future Quality Director NL? If you are someone that is focused on continous improvement that might be the case! Do you recognise yourself in the profile of a reliable, pragmatic, solution-oriented, business-oriented person? Are you at the same time careful and alert in reporting any deviations? We are excited to meet you! Ideally we are looking for someone with railway industry experience but we are aware that will be difficult. If you have experience in other standardized environments such as the military, avionics or for example the automotive industry we would also really like to meet you! 

You have: 
- a technical background (asset) 

- a quality background (this is a must) 

- 10 years of experience in a senior quality role or a management role 

- a full time availability 
- fluency in Dutch, English (must) and French and German (an asset)
