Your Role: 
 

  • The Power Electronics and Automation Engineer liaises between Engineering and Manufacturing to optimize manufacturability of products, throughput times and productivity, leads production and testing of the building of the first vehicle of each type, proving processes and TAKT times and support Engineering in capturing Manufacturing needs – drives Design for Manufacturing and standardization.
  • He /She ensures that manufacturing layouts and technical documentation are accurate and optimized across all functions and that all technical information is up-to date, complete and available on time. The Power Electronics and Automation Engineer also ensures that the introduction of technical changes is effectively coordinated and that build of first vehicle is successfully executed.

 

Your Challenges: 
 

  • Be the technical expert in power electronics and automation within the Industrialization team
  • Be the interconnection between the functions of Engineering, Production, Quality and the Suppliers
  • Develop, review and (present) improve new products and working methods compliant to standards, and new work instructions for Manufacturing and Testing areas.
  • Ensure the delivery of all components in time, quality and costs
  • Carry out investigations and reports into processes and component failure, including correspondence with Engineering and Quality departments to resolve technical enquires in a timely manner
  • Perform as best example in terms of Health, Safety and Environment

 

Qualifications:
 

  • Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical training
  • Good knowledge and experience of power electronics and automation processes
  • Experience in this technical knowledge and from the automotive sector, would be an advantage
  • Fluency in English
  • German / French would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment from Railways industry would be an advantage
