Could you be the full-time Supply Chain Manager in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project management and supply chain expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and forward-thinking team of professionals.

You'll play a central role in ensuring the smooth delivery of materials and products for one of Canada’s largest public transit transformation projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Installation, and Project Managers), and ensure quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments are met, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of project-specific product deliveries and material management, but also manage industrial processes and mitigate risks. You'll oversee and manage a team of Project Material Managers, Material Planners and Industrial Planners.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing industrial scope and E2E material flow for the project

  • Set up & Synchronize Supply Chain processes vs Industrial requirements

  • Apply Signalling Project Industrial Review Process
  • Manage Quality, Cost, Deliverable commitments across teams and stakeholders
  • Ensuring alignment with procurement strategies and project objectives

  • Collaborating on the industrialization of logistics flows to optimize lead times

  • Driving demand to Industrial Operations and ensuring timely material and product delivery

  • Preparing and following up on the supply chain budget

  • Deploying supply chain strategy on-site using standard processes

  • Animating performance KPIs to ensure operational excellence

  • Ensuring employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies

 

Key Missions

  • Leading all supply chain activities on both project and manufacturing sites
  • Setting and defining supply chain processes in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Driving material retro-planning for current and new projects
  • Ensuring timely first material deliveries in alignment with Alstom standards
  • Building strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
  • Promoting awareness of Alstom supply chain processes and best practices
  • Identifying and mitigating risks in supply chain operations
  • Monitoring and reporting on supply chain performance metrics KPIs
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives for supply chain efficiency
  • Manage a team of industrial planners and contribute to the APSYS (Alstom Performance System) roadmap related actions regarding industrial planning topic
  • Make sure Industrial Planning Golden rules & processes are applied to reach the Industrial Planning KPIs target
  • Support the Industrial Planner in their daily activities and follow critical topics in detail with them
  • Ensure that Industrial Planner / Master Production Schedulers follow the production progress properly
  • Applying core model processes for material planning activities (external & internal suppliers) and master data management
  • Managing supplier performance KPIs and raw material coverage according to targets
  • Collaborating with Procurement for risk/impact management and supplier selection
  • Ensuring action plan implementation between teams and suppliers
  • Leading supplier escalation processes and supporting Material Planners in improving supplier KPI performance
  • Manage the S&OP and MPS for manufacturing sites
  • Support the Projects to achieve QCD commitments and represent the supply chain in Site Management / project committee
  • Manage process and activities related Industrial Planning, Project Supply Chain, Material Planning and supplier’s delivery performance in coordination with the related departments
  • Supervise the availability on time of industrial requirements/industrial scheme, and related make or buy strategy
  • Ensure the proper set-up of Project Industrialization process and manage the corresponding deliverables in QCD
  • Developing team competencies and managing team performance through feedback and performance management cycles
  • Deploy robust supply chain culture at all levels

  • A degree in Engineering prefreed, Supply Chain, or a related field

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain including materials planning, supplier performance, inventory management, industrial planning, logistics, project management, sourcing, or engineering roles

  • Knowledge of supply chain strategy deployment, Lean Manufacturing principles, and QCDE (Quality Cost Delivery Environment Health & Safety) practices

  • Previous direct team/people management experience

  • Expereince working with ERP solutions (SAP preferred), data quality management, and inventory processes

  • Ability to manage budgets and financial reconciliations effectively

  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance in an industrial environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Railway experience in signaling products or projects is prefereed 
  • Knowledge of product/system technical requirements and project management practices

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
