Could you be the full-time Supervison Control Center (SCC) System Engineering Manager in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical leadership and system engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, collaborative, and driven teammates.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, fully integrated solutions that meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and Alstom’s engineering excellence standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including design, integration, testing, and commissioning), provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering activities, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of leading the System Engineering strategy across all ICC subsystems and interfaces, but also managing and developing a team of System Engineers.
We’ll look to you for:

Leading the System Engineering strategy across all SCC subsystems, interfaces, and participating units.

Owning and updating System Engineering plans.

Ensuring alignment of the SCC System with customer requirements and defining the scope with the customer for upcoming baselines.

Driving system activities, managing technical dependencies, and resolving cross-disciplinary issues.

Overseeing System analysis activities and ensuring deliverables meet contractual and regulatory expectations.

Managing and developing a team of System Engineers while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Coordinating cross-functional activities with other managers and technical experts.

Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s engineering processes, cyber-security, safety case requirements, and regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration is an asset.

Significant experience in engineering management on complex technical projects.

Strong background in System Engineering, requirements management, and the overall V cycle.

Experience leading multi-disciplinary and multi-site engineering teams.

Experience with railway ATS systems and safety-related systems with cyber-security constraints.

Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent).

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Familiarity with SCRUM framework and IBM ALM tools (EWM, ETM) is a plus.

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is $110,000 – $150,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
