Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your project planning and scheduling expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring on-time delivery, optimizing schedules, and driving project success through meticulous planning and coordination. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, supply chain, and project management), provide expert guidance on delay analysis and risk mitigation, and lead project schedule review sessions to align stakeholders and maintain quality standards, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Organizing and leading regular project schedule review sessions, challenging stakeholders' assumptions about time performance. ,
  • Optimizing schedules considering multiple criteria such as on-time delivery, cash generation, penalty avoidance, and efficient utilization of available resources. ,
  • Ensuring validation of the baseline schedule. ,
  • Developing a Project Time Management Plan. ,
  • Aligning the commitments of internal and external stakeholders, managing schedule interfaces, and proactively addressing inconsistencies. ,
  • Ensuring on-time updates of both internal and external schedules, monitoring stakeholders' adherence to schedule quality standards. ,
  • Identifying critical paths and both actual and potential delays in complex, interlinked schedules. ,
  • Leading the preparation of schedule and progress reports, illustrating progress with relevant KPIs and the Earned Value Methodology. ,
  • Supporting the Contract Manager in protecting the company's rights in time-related disputes and performing delay analysis. ,
  • Providing support to teams on schedule-related issues.

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or other related fields; or strong equivalent experience
  • Experience or understanding of project planning and scheduling, including the use of Primavera P6. ,
  • Knowledge of scheduling theory and methods, such as Earned Value Management (EVM). ,
  • Familiarity with time-related contractual obligations and principles of delay analysis. ,
  • PMP or other Planning Certifications. (desirable)
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel or other data analysis tools. ,
  • Basic comprehension of railway industry products and technologies, or background in construction/defense/transportation/rail and related areas
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. ,
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, guide teams, and propose proactive solutions. ,
  • Adaptability and resilience in a multi-cultural and rapidly changing environment.

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is $130,000 - $160,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
