Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your system engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and dedicated teammates.
You'll play a central role in transforming the collective mobility of Canada’s busiest transit system, contributing to the success of the GO Expansion project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as System Architecture, Design, Integration, Validation, and Cybersecurity), lead technical reviews, and ensure seamless integration and validation of complex systems.
You’ll specifically take care of designing system architecture, managing system requirements, and ensuring compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards, but also collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
We’ll look to you for:
Lead the following activities for the SCC System, which includes three subsystems: ATS (Automatic Train Supervision), SCADA, and the Security System:
Review and allocate accepted requirements to the User Stories.
Write User Stories based on the input requirements.
Write system specifications (requirements) and the operational context description.
Update design documentation based on internal (peer) reviews and customer comments.
Update and clarify specifications (requirements) during the design, development, and mock-up presentation phases.
Ensure that the system architecture and design comply with RAM, Safety, Standards, and Cybersecurity requirements.
Validate technical procedures defining the integration of the system, subsystems, and external interfaces.
Follow up and provide guidance on all integration activities between the system, the subsystems, and external interfaces.
Follow up and provide guidance on all validation activities at the system level; dispatch identified anomalies to subsystems when necessary.
Ensure that the system complies with all system requirements, the original customer contract, and any other implicit requirements derived from them.
Support and follow up on requirements traceability from the system level to subsystems and external interfaces.
Follow the ADDA processes (User Story process, proofreading process, delivery process, etc.).
Collaborate with the project planner to report progress on deliverable dates.
Participate in workshops with the SCC System team and MLX regarding User Story and System topics.
Interface with other system teams (ETCS, TMS, RBC, Iconis product, Turnkey, S&TC, Interlocking, Safety, Cyber, RAM, Quality, etc.).
Actively participate in reviews within the team and with other teams (System, Design, Integration, V&V, etc.).
Provide SCC System KPIs for OnCorr management.
Participate in CCB meetings and support the investigation of Change Requests.
