As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. The GO Expansion scope :  new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.



Plan and manage all Site Operations in close cooperation with the Project Manager, the Installation Engineering and Design activities, the Procurement and logistics activities, and ensure integration on field and installation of the complete System.

End to End accountability at Project level, from a QCD and Performance points of view for his/her scope, in compliance with Signaling and SECURITY strategy, policies, standards, local regulations and professional standards



In compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards, oversees operational coordination of all project activities related to Site Works, including:

  • Organize and lead the full Project Installation Engineering Team (ONBOARD), also from different Countries
  • Provide the list of deliverables with related schedule and workload, also in accordance with the reference library (analysis of reusable documents, gaps, etc.)
  • Propose the validation cycle of the documentation (Internal and external: Customer, Subcontractor, etc.)
  • Report on the progress of the delivery of the document to be provided as per schedule
  • Support the PrInstallation Manager /PrSite Ops Manager /PrField Ops Manager for QCD review of the Installation Engineering activities, including Risk identification and mitigation proposal
  • Interfaces with other Project stakeholders – internal or external - for getting needed data, for delivering the Installation Engineering for ONBOARD. 
  • Identifies and reports on issues on document and drawing delivered and provide REX on main route cause of issues and on reference library evolution
  • Performs Site Surveys during preparation and execution phase (if necessary)
  • Liaises with BIM Coordinators to coordinate common Installation Engineering studies and deliverables
  • Ensure application of D&IS Installation and FO Process for Installation Engineering activities



  • Engineer degree level (Mech/Electric/Electronics)
  • 5+ years of ONBOARD Signaling Engineering experience
  • P.Eng certification
  • Railway products and services knowledge on different market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&P)
  • Experience of management by Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives
  • Hands-on experience on Customer relationship in ONB Engineering technical topics
