  • Drive the execution of project with medium criticality, according to contractual requirements and customer expectations (summarized in contract charter), to maximize the results with respect to cash and margin while delivering on time, in conformity with Alstom project management and execution processes,
  • Be accountable for project QCDP and project EHS,
  • Ensure Alstom legal and contractual rights are protected,
  • Seek and propose to the Customer Director / Platform additional opportunities.



Acting as the leader of the Project Execution team, the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the performance and execution of the customer contract on time and within budget. The PM is expected to manage customer expectations as well as lead the internal project team in the pursuit of these objectives. Using standard project management practices based on the PMI and Alstom standards, the PM will be expected to tightly manage cost, scope, and schedule commitments within their project scope.

  • Display outstanding leadership, communication, and motivation skills in line with Alstom’s core values of AGILITY, INCLUSIVENESS, and RESPONSIBILITY.
  • Deliver projects according to QCD, Contract and Safety commitments as specified at contract
    signature & related signed Variation Orders.
  • Serve as the primary Alstom Signaling representative to the Consortium and Customer.
  • Define, review & adjust strategies of the project with RC Projects Director, Consortium leadership, and Customer Director.
  • Prepare and lead Monthly Project Review (MPR) as per rules defined in MPR instructions, within context of the Alstom turnkey project structure and Consortium reporting rhythm.
  • Drive project Work Package Reviews, Risk and Opportunity Reviews, and Schedule Reviews to ensure the Signaling scope is on-track and under control.
  • Ensure Alstom Project Management Processes, Methods and Tools are applied on project.
  • Operationally lead the Project Core Team, defining and clearly communicating project priorities.
  • Ensure that the project workload needs are well forecasted and anticipated by Project Core Team.
  • Drive performance of subcontractors for specified scopes of work.
  • Monitor and organize field activities, to include close coordination with T&C and V&V teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination across functions to deliver the project. 
  • Support Customer Director in proposing and negotiating variation orders and claims with
  • Ensure EHS rules are applied and a safety culture is respected and followed within the Project execution team.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • Certified PMP or IMPA
  • Minimum 15 years rail industry experience
  • Minimum 10 years PM experience in Rail Industry
  • Experience managing brown field upgrade projects on mainline railways
  • Experience delivering projects with European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Alstom’s North American Interlocking solutions (iVPI and Electrologixs) preferred
  • Experience managing construction works or projects with multiple phases of installation, delivery, and revenue service
