Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your validation and verification expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in delivering fully validated, verified, and integrated projects that align with Alstom's core technical processes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business, including Project Engineering, Test & Commissioning, and customers, to ensure seamless project integration and delivery. You’ll also contribute to the design and execution of test plans and scenarios, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
You’ll specifically take care of designing and executing test architectures and plans, but also supporting investigations and providing solutions for identified issues.
We’ll look to you for:

Specifying and designing overall tests, including test architecture and test cases

Preparing comprehensive test plans, test sheets, and test scenarios that accurately reflect real-world operational contexts

Executing test sessions, producing detailed test reports, and creating associated change requests

Participating in customer acceptance tests and site tests, as applicable

Specifying, designing, developing, and validating test environments and tools

Investigating and resolving defects detected on test benches or at project sites

Estimating workload, scheduling, and tracking validation activities

Managing V&V work products under configuration management

Ensuring test traceability against requirements as per the Requirements Management Plan

Providing support to subsystem validation teams during execution

BS Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Master’s Degree is a plus)

At least 10 years of experience working with signalling in areas such as V&V, Design, Application, or railway operation control with local regulations (e.g., CROR rules)

Experience with Integrated Control Center systems (e.g., ATS, SCADA, Security), Interlocking, Carborne, PTC, CBTC, and Cybersecurity

Knowledge of PLC programming, software coding, and test automation/scripting

Strong leadership and collaboration skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is $95,000 – $125,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
