Purpose of the Job

 

The mission of the Requirements Engineer is to support to the Requirement Management team to make sure each of the technical requirements of the project (contract, safety and operations) is managed through the full lifecycle (capture, allocation, agreement, elicitation, verification, validation, etc.) using the project DOORS tool.

 

Responsibilities

 

The requirement engineer will:

  • Support engineers in day-to-day RM activities
  • Capture traceability of the evidences and pre-assess them
  • Lead and animate follow up and progress meetings
  • Keep requirement data sets consistent with other systems
  • Prepare analyses of requirement sets
  • Identify difficulties and risk in requirements compliance and ensure escalation and follow up of those
  • Produce progress KPI and reports for requirement management
  • Publish requirement baselines

 

Educational requirements

University degree in Engineering

PEng, or in process

 

 

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of engineering relevant work experience
  • General technical knowledge in railways.
  • Be open to innovative engineering, new equipment, methods, tools.
  • Systematic, detail oriented
  • Able to animate discussions and identify and escalate issues.
  • Fair knowledge of the subsystems included in a Transport System and understand the technical decomposition of the system.
