Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your reliability engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside structured, proactive, and resilient teammates.
We’ll look to you for:
- Carrying out RAM (Reliability Availability Maintainability) related activities in Projects & Programs in line with Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) objectives and looking for optimization of RAM performance while being mindful of other constraints (such as life cycle cost, safety, standards, etc.)
- Ensuring that our solutions (Projects and Programs) are Reliable, Maintainable and Available
- Identifying the best architecture according to RAM performance requirements, Customers’ needs and operational conditions
- Guaranteeing a risk control for each requirement related to RAM and performing continuously reliability growth in Projects & Programs
Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate and perform all the RAM Assurance activities on the project / system / product, as per RAM process defined in Signalling RAM Instruction, from the Tender phase up to Operational phase
- For each project / system / product, define the RAM approach & strategy and manage the RAM budget, workload and associated planning
- Within each Project or System or Product, the RAM Engineer is responsible for the main RAM deliverables, such as:
- Tender/Design phases: RAM Plan and RAM report
- Operational phase: RAM Monitoring plan and RAM Monitoring reports
- As defined and explained in the RAM Process and Methods Work Method Statements and Guidelines, and in order to define the RAM performance level for each Project or System or Product, the RAM Engineer performs the following main RAM activities, such as:
- Tender/Design phases: Reliability Prediction (MTTF/MTBF), Life expectation, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Degraded modes analysis, Service Reliability and/or Availability modelling, Maintainability and Testability analysis
- Operational phase: data collection from field/customer and data collection from repair sites, root cause identification and RAM classification definition, statistical analysis of collected data, Reliability growth analysis and actions plans proposal
- Make Design recommendations based on RAM studies (application of “Design for Reliability”, “Design for Maintainability” and “Design for Serviceability” guidelines) and verify adequacy of architecture choices to System, Product or Projects RAM targets
- Support Tenders and Sourcing teams to choose and integrate product/system in projects

- RAM performance level of our solutions
- Respect QCD commitments and OTD/DOT (On-Time Delivery) milestones
- RAM KPIs
- Compliance to process (through Inspections, process reviews…)

- Advanced University or Engineering degree (essential)
- English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation (essential)
- Specific hands-on experience in RAM and mastering RAM methodology and concepts/principles (essential)
- Engineering degree in System, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical engineering knowledge
- Engineering background in System, Electronic, Software and similar
- Knowledgeable of Railway Signaling
- Structured, organized and rigorous
- Team player
- Proactive behavior
- Problem setting and problem solving
- Good competencies in RAM assurance, methods and tools
- Resilient (to pressure, to last minutes deliveries…)
- Ability to drive activities performed by others (subcontractors, suppliers)
