The GO Expansion scope: fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems
Objective
In close collaboration with the System Deployment & Integration Manager (SDIM) and Project Manager, you will drive the Product Acceptance Processes and Cooridnate Deployment of Engineering Tools:
- Writing Scope of Work
- Define Product Acceptance Plan and Processes
- Requirement analysis and allocation (for all contractual requirements related to signaling products) up to global system acceptance by Customer (including Test & Commissioning and certification / homologation)
- Ensuring the successful completion of customer acceptance of products utilized for the project.
Responsibilities
- Manage the technical scope of customer product acceptance (in support of the SDIM and PM)
- Be accountable for performance and the customer acceptance of the project solution
- Create and execute product acceptance plans taking into account timelines and avaliable resources
- Manage the technical risks and corresponding mitigation plan
- Together with the Project Manager, in case of contractual scope evolution, raise variation order and manage
- Identify applicable government and industry standards and regulations and ensure they are taken into account in the product acceptance and cerification case documents
- Ensure that all product acceptance cases are accepted by customer within required project timelines.
- Lead the Engineering Effort to developed required Product Acceptance Case
- Be accountable for Work Packages QCDP, ensuring application of safety principles
- Be accountable for product documentation approval by customer, and support sub-system managers and engineering leaders for sub-system documentation approval
- Is accountable for
- Interfaces between the sub-systems (in the frame of product acceptance works)
- Interfaces with external 3rd Parties for purpose of obtaining inputs for product acceptance efforts,
- Testing and Certification activities required for product acceptance by customer
- Certification & authorisations
- Safety case delivery & assessment (including exported constraints accepted by customer)
- Project requirements (not limited to technical requirement) analysis, allocation and compliance demonstration,
- Coordination of activities necessary to obtain Project Provisional Acceptance and Final Acceptance
Performance measurements
- Work package QCDP (quality, cost, delivery and performance), including DFQ go on-time
- Project product documentation approval completion and Freeze with Customer
- On time delivery of product acceptance case to customer
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or scientific subjects
- P. Eng certification or in progress
Experience Requirements
- Engineering background in railway product acceptance processes related to standards such as CENELEC and AREMA
- At least 5 years of experience working on signaling projects in a technical position
- Hands-on experience with team management
- Technical Subcontractor management
- Cost and planning control experience in engineering scope
- Direct experience with design and activities related to interlocking design and certification, signaling equipment room/bungalow design, cable containment, signal structures, electrical and power supply/distribution.
- Hands-on experience on Customer relationship in contractual situations
- Desirable:
- Products and services knowledge on Rail and Rail signaling
- Engineering product development full lifecycle view
