Could you be the full-time Installation Engineering Leader in Toronto, ON, we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your installation engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada’s busiest public transit system by contributing to the transformation of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the GO Expansion On-Corridor Works project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including the Project Installation Engineering Manager, Field Operations Manager, and Installation Supervisors), lead installation engineering activities, and ensure the delivery of high-quality documentation in compliance with Alstom’s standards and strategies, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of organizing and leading installation engineering activities and ensuring compliance with EHS policies and local regulations, but also liaising with BIM Coordinators to coordinate common installation engineering studies and deliverables.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Organizing, leading, and coordinating installation engineering activities for projects

  • Providing a list of deliverables with related schedules and workloads

  • Proposing validation cycles for documentation and ensuring timely delivery

  • Supporting project leaders in QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) reviews and risk management

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for data collection and delivery

  • Performing site surveys and mock-ups during the execution phase, if necessary

  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s Digital & Integrated Systems Installation and Field Operations processes


All about you

  • Engineer degree level or equivalent education and experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in design or engineering

  • P. Eng certification or in progress

  • Onboard signalling engineering experience

  • Certification in AutoCAD and/or other design tools

  • Strong knowledge of railway products and services across market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M)

  • Basic experience in railway site management

  • Experience managing by Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives

  • Background in EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety)

  • Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) procedures and tools

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $110,000 – $135,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
