As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles. The GO Expansion scope : new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.

 

Objective

Great opportunity for a Graduate Engineer where they will be responsible in providing Support on cybersecurity activities to the Go Expansion Project as required.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop Cyber Technical Documents with inputs from Engineering/Industrial/Test Teams and obtain necessary approvals from internal and external Stakeholders
  • Address comments raised during the external Stakeholder review process to revise documentation for approval where required
  • Document requirement specifications, architecture, implementation guides, standard operating procedures, etc.
  • Perform/Support risk assessments
  • Generate reports and assist in audits
  • Follow-up on technical issues, clarifications and requirements
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Build reports, dahboards and graphs from data
  • Ensure all work undertaken is checked and approved in accordance with the company’s quality systems

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Cybersecurity
  • 0-3 years of experience in Cybersecurity
  • Professional Engineer certification or in progress
  • Previous experience in an office or Industrial environment will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of programming languages and tools (PowerShell / Python)
  • Cybersecurity certifications desired
  • Deep understanding of OS fundamentals
  • Understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies (e.g Vmware, HyperV, Citrix, etc)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and methodologies
  • Ethical hacking capabilities like simulation and penetration testing will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of Networking architecture and principles
  • Excellent IT knowledge and skills (MS Office)
  • Basic project management skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
